We all began our journey by completing a BSc (Hons) degree in Sports Therapy or Physiotherapy and are all accredited members of our associated governing bodies. Since graduating, we have taken different routes, each specialising in particular injuries and sports. At F.A.S.T., we all continue to expand our wealth of knowledge, with our Senior Therapists having completed post-graduate level qualifications, to ensure the best diagnosis and treatment methods for our patients.

The correct rehabilitation exercises are crucial for recovery; this is an area which Megan has conducted extensive amounts of research. Simply put, the research answers the question: Do your rehabilitation exercises target the muscles they are meant to? In many cases, the answer is ‘no’. This means the recovery process may be prolonged and can result in you being susceptible to the injury recurring. We are pleased to offer targeted and individualised programmes for everyone and in order to help with technique and ensure optimal efficiency, we provide videos for you to refer to at home. Richard is in a select group of Sports Therapists in the UK to have completed the MSc Sports and Exercise Medicine course at the University of Nottingham, and Faye has successfully completed an MSc in Physiotherapy allowing her to work with several insurance companies. All of this combined ensures you are in the best hands.

Who do we help?

Whether your injury is from participating in sport, a stressful job or if you simply benefit from sports massage, we are here to help. The therapists at F.A.S.T. have previously worked with athletes from the Olympics, Winter Olympics, Paralympics and Commonwealth Games, England U18’s Rugby, GB Triathlon, as well as several celebrities and events including the National Athletics Championships, London Marathon, British Rowing Championships, Volleyball England Tournament and Race For Life. We don’t believe that elite treatment should be reserved for elite athletes though, and are therefore proud to offer our services to everyone.

What to expect:

A thorough examination and assessment will initially be carried out by one of our Sports Therapists. This may require you to wear shorts or a vest top, depending on the site of injury. Following this, we will talk through our diagnosis so you understand the cause and effect of the problem in simple-terms. Treatment and rehabilitation will be specifically tailored to suit your schedule, so realistic and attainable goals can be met.

Facilities:

At all of our clinics, there is access to a gym and an outside area for rehabilitation purposes and functional testing. All locations have free, on-site car parking.
