Stretching for runners

Stretching can be effective at improving flexibility and range of motion. Every runner has their ‘go to stretch’ to target a specific area. Whilst there is limited research in the benefit of static stretching in recovery, they can be helpful to target specific areas of stiffness or areas that you want to improve flexibility. Please see below for some ideas of how to target different areas.

“I’ve received fantastic treatment by multiple members of the Fit Again Sports Therapy team over the last three years. The sports therapy I’ve had has aided my performance significantly and helped me recover more quickly from injuries. Would definitely recommend the FAST team!!”
