Charity Challenges

We are very active within the charity community and love to help those embarking on tough challenges. To date, we have been the main injury treatment providers for individuals and groups completing athletic challenges with them having raised a total of over £750,000 for charities around the world. We have also assisted many other charitable challenges as part of a larger group of support staff. If we were to include these, the total raised for charity would be over £2.5 million!

Jo Whiley Sport Relief

‘Jo in a box Challenge’ 26 hours on a treadmill

Jo Whiley

Who? Jo Whiley – BBC Radio 2 DJ

The Challenge? 26 hours on a treadmill raising money for Sport Relief. She completed over 100 miles during this time.

Undertaking a Sport Relief challenge is plainly an act of madness. You tend to say ‘yes’ then panic after. However there was no need to panic because I was in the hands of The Professionals…
Rich was my adviser from the very beginning. He gave me exercises to undertake and worked on me when I was trying to get on top of a thigh injury throughout the process. Over the course of the challenge the attention I received was invaluable. I honestly don’t know how I would have got through the Sport Relief experience with my feet/legs and sanity intact without his diligent care. He was with me literally every step of the way, administering massage, draining blisters & changing my socks and shoes to protect my feet and get me to the finish line. Albeit with ice packs strapped to my knees! I couldn’t be more thankful to Rich and Megan! They were calm, professional and knowledgeable in the extreme. Thanks guys!

The HOPE Tour

12 Marathons in 12 Days

12 in 12

Who? Four runners with the same goal

The Challenge? 12 marathons in 12 days raising money for HOPEHIV.

“Just because the clinic is called F.A.S.T. doesn’t mean they rush your treatment. In December 2012 Rich and Megan accompanied myself and a team of friends on an adventure down the length of the country as we ran 12 marathons in 12 days for the charity HOPEHIV. Having to treat half a dozen knackered grumpy runners in pain day after day is no easy job and yet they managed not only to fix any injuries and get us back out on the road each day with spirits lifted and limbs loosened, but they did so with such easy expertise, charm and good humour that being hoisted onto a massage table and having an elbow dug into your bum-cheeks was not nearly as tortuous as it might have been. Do yourself a favour and put yourself in their hands.“

Paris to London Challenge

Who? Rob Evans – recreational Rugby player

The Challenge? Run the Paris Marathon then run back to London to complete the London Marathon a week later (216 miles in 8 days).

Leading up to and during my Paris to London Challenge, Richard and Chelsea were invaluable. With their high level of knowledge and professionalism, they were able to keep me injury free throughout the gruelling challenge. On my low days, Richard and Chelsea managed to lift my confidence and spirits to take me through to the very end. In addition to all these great attributes, they are both genuinely really nice people who are easy to get along with, and I would recommend them to any other athlete.“ Rob Evans

Since then Rob has gone onto become a serial marathon runner and has become a London Marathon Pacer for the past three years. We are pleased to still be assisting Rob having helped with each step of his running career.
