In 2010, Mikey graduated with a BSc (Hons) degree in Sport and Exercise Science from Loughborough University. He went on to complete an MSc in Physiotherapy from the University of East Anglia in 2013. Mikey has a special interest in sports injuries with particular experience with shoulder, spinal and lower limb pathologies. F.A.S.T. is privileged to have Mikey as the lead practitioner for our Continued Professional Development programme, ensuring our therapists stay at the forefront of sports medicine research.
Experience
Mikey has huge experience in both the sporting and private sector. During the 2016/2017 season, he was the Head of Medical at London Scottish Rugby Football Club before moving to Cambridge United where he was Head of Medical Services for 5 years. Since 2022, Mikey has worked at Norwich City Football Club as First Team Senior Physiotherapist. As part of this role, he has been instrumental in the launch of the NCFC x University of East Anglia Medical School collaboration to provide a Sports Medicine module.
Sport
His passion for sport continues, be it watching rugby, football or cricket. The 5 Peaks Challenge, Adidas Thunder Run and most recently, Tough Mudder are all events he has enjoyed training for! And when time and location permits, he also loves to ski, surf and cycle.
