Emma graduated from The University of Birmingham with a BSc (Hons) degree in Physiotherapy in 2007. Since graduating, she has also attained her Level 3 Diploma in Sports Massage Therapy and Level 3 Diploma in Reflexology.
Experience
She has been a Senior Physiotherapist in the NHS for over 10 years. Through this role she has gained a wide range of experience working in outpatients, trauma, orthopaedics, medical, elderly care, respiratory/surgical, intensive care, neurology including stroke, spinal and head injuries units and women’s health.
Currently, Emma is a Senior Physiotherapist at a local hospital in the musculoskeletal service and has been for the past 4 years. She has a special interest in foot and ankle rehabilitation, particularly achilles.
Previously, Emma has worked as a Physiotherapist in the youth academies at Swansea City and Cardiff City Association Football Clubs running evening clinics and pitch side cover.
Sport
Emma has played hockey for Wales at every level. In 2010, she played in the Commonwealth Games in Delhi and the World Cup qualifiers in Russia. At club level, Emma played for Clifton Ladies Hockey Club in the premier league for 8 years and now plays for Cambridge City Hockey Club 1st team.
In addition, Emma is an ex-football international representing Wales at U16 and U19 level. She played in the UEFA Championships U19 level in Finland 2002.
Having played at an elite level most of her sporting career, Emma understands the pressures that can come with this environment
